What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Upper Icknield Way, Pitstone) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Upper Icknield Way for approx. 225M. Alternative route: Tring Rd, Dunstable Rd, Leighton Rd, Main Rd North, Ringshall Rd, Little Gaddesden Rd, Berkhamsted Rd, New Rd, High St, London Rd, Station Rd, Brook St, Wingrave Rd, Bulbourne Rd, Upper Icknield Way and vice versa. The closure is required whilst BT pole replacement works commence on 23 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Wendover Rd, Aylesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Wendover Rd for approx. 406M. Alternative route: Wendover Rd, Stoke Rd, Mandeville Rd, Old Stoke Rd, Lower Rd, Station Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Multiple works for the SEALR project commence on 13 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 13 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Leighton Rd, Wingrave) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Leighton Rd for approx. 66M. Alternative route: Winslow Rd, Aylesbury Rd, Park Gate, Leighton Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach ducting works commence on 2 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 2 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Ludgershall Rd, Wotton Underwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Ludgershall Rd for approx. 143M. Alternative route: Wotton Underwood, Ashendon Rd, Wotton Rd, Main St, Westcott Rd, High St, Bicester Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water boundary box installation works commence on 31 January 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 31 January 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Mill Ln, Weston Turville) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Mill Ln for approx. 75M. The closure is required whilst Thames Water new connection works commence on 24 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 24 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Bridleway No. 5/1, Parish of Longwick-cum-Ilmer)(Temporary Bridleway Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Bridleway No. 5/1 from the junction of LCl/5/1 & LCI/7/1 continuing along the whole length of LCI/5/1 then proceeding over the railway line for approx. 145M to the junction with Walnut Tree Lane. The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to works improving the surface. Alternative route is via existing public highway. The proposed Order come into operation on 22 January 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No’s. 50/2, Parish of Whitchurch & Public Footpath No. 2/1, Parish of Aston Abbotts) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of Bushmead Road and WHI 50/2 continuing east to the junction of AAB/2/1 & AAB/1/2. Alternative route is via existing highway. The closure is required to enable replacement of failed bridge. The Order will come into operation on 29 January 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
