HYSBYSIR, DRWY HYN, fod y Cyngor, fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd ar gyfer Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, wrth arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu cyhoeddi Gorchymyn a fydd yn cyflwyno’r cyfyngiad a nodir yn yr atodlen isod, dros dro, mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o’r Hysbysiad hwn. Cyhoeddir y Gorchymyn oherwydd gwaith ailosod pibellau nwy’r prif gyflenwad ac mae er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 28/01/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am uchafswm o 18 mis, neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau, p’un bynnag sydd gynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei wneud rhwng 08:00 a 17:00 o 02/02/2026 tan 20/02/2026. Atodlen - Ni chaiff unrhyw berson beri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ar hyd ffordd y Rhiw, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr o’i chyffordd â Stryd Nolton i’w chyffordd â Stryd y Frenhines. Y llwybr amgen i gerbydau yw ar hyd Stryd Bracla, Heol Tremains, Ffordd Gyswllt ar Draws y Cwm Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr (A4061), Ffordd Osgoi Fewnol Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr (A473), Stryd yr Angel, Stryd y Dŵr.Ni ellir cynnal mynediad drwy’r cyfyngiad ar gyfer yr Heddlu, y Gwasanaethau Tân na’r Gwasanaethau Ambiwlans sy’n ymateb i argyfyngau. BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (THE RHIW, BRIDGEND) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below. The Order is due to safety gas mains replacements and is in the interest of public safety. The Order will come into force on the 28/01/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that the planned work will be undertaken between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 from 02/02/2026 to 20/02/2026. Schedule - No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along The Rhiw, Bridgend from its junction with Nolton Street to its junction with Queen Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Brackla Street, Tremains Road, A4061 Bridgend Cross Valley Link, A473 Bridgend Inner By-Pass, Angel Street, Water Street. Access cannot be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure. The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
