The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Riverway, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Monday 26 January 2026 and Wednesday 28 January 2026, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Riverway, Newport, on the North bound junction up the slip way towards Medina Way. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Street furniture repairs.

The Isle of Wight Council (Lake Green Road, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Monday 26 January 2026 and Wednesday 28 January 2026, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lake Green Road for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (St Lawrence Shute, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Boniface Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Zig Zag Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Combley Road, Havenstreet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Baring Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Scinde Crescent, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Wednesday 28 January 2026 until 1600 hours on Friday 30 January 2026, or when the works have been completed, Scinde Crescent will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Hillway Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Church Road, Havenstreet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Newport to Wootton, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Cycle track Closure) Order No 6 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Monday 02 February 2026, and Friday 27 March 2026, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian and/or cyclist to proceed along Cycle Track from Newport to Wootton, Newport, between Wootton and Binfield. These works will be completed in Phases and on-street signage will depict the exact length and time of each closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Resurfacing and drainage repairs along old railway line.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 23 January 2026 and Friday 06 March 2026 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to five days or nights within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable roadway Maintenance works, and any associated prep works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closures. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme.

The Isle of Wight Council (Hadrians Way, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026 – Hadrians Way, Brading will be closed for its entire length.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1600 hours on Friday 09 January 2026 until 1600 hours on Wednesday 14 January 2026, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Star Street, Ryde. The Isle of Wight Council (Main Road, Thorley, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

The Isle of Wight Council (Corf Road, Porchfield, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026
