What is happening?
ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL
U96K – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (U96k near Auchenblae - 21.01.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 21.01.26 for 10 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the U96k near Auchenblae from the Junction with the B966 to the U111k.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to ducting works. An alternative route is available via the B966, C7k, Burnett Street, Monboddo Street, U96k and vice versa.
