Cottingham Road/Hall Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic To Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?

COTTINGHAM ROAD/HALL ROAD ROUNDABOUT
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along the access from Cottingham Road and Hotham Road North from the roundabout at Cottingham Road, Hall Road, Fairfax Avenue and Hotham Road North, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway resurfacing and reconstruction works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 2nd February 2026, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in two phases:-
Phase 1 – between 8am and 5pm commencing 2nd February 2026 until 6th February 2026
Phase 2 – between 8am and 5pm commencing 9th February 2026 until 13th February 2026
