ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the following Order,
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Public Right Of Way Cycle Path DCY0583, Canal Towpath, Brierley Hill) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any pedestrians proceeding on the Public Right of Way Cycle Path DCY0583, canal towpath, Brierley Hill, from the rear of Quay House to a point approximately 0.7km south. The purpose of the closure is to safely facilitate the removal of street furniture and sheet piling works being carried out on or near the affected public right of way. The order will come into operation on 31.01.2026 and will remain in force until 13.02.2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 6 months. Pedestrians will be diverted via: Waterfront East, Waterfront Way, Level Street, Embankment, The Boulevard, and vice versa.
