Roden Lane - Mapped Speed Limits and Zones
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF TELFORD AND WREKIN COUNCIL (MAPPED SPEED LIMITS AND ZONES) (AMENDMENT NO.1) ORDER 2025
The Council gives notice that it has made the following Traffic Order which shall come in to force at midnight on 26th January 2026.
The general effects of the order are to:
Revocations
Roden Lane
(between village boundaries)
30mph speed limit
Marlbrook Way
30mph speed limit
Roden Lane (between Poynton Lane and 9 Roden Lane)
30mph speed limit
New Speed Limits
Roden Lane
(Poynton Lane to 9 Roden Lane)
40mph speed limit
Roden Lane
(9 Roden Lane to Dogs Trust)
50mph speed limit
The reasons for the speed limit changes are for road safety and amenity of the public realm and to support the introduction of traffic calming measures within Roden village.
Documents detailing the particulars of the whole of the Order may be inspected at
or during normal opening hours at Telford & Wrekin Council, Darby House, Lawn Central, TF3 4JA
If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under that Act, has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
