Highway Notices - Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Heyes Lane, Alderley Edge/Heyes Lane, Wilmslow

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Heyes Lane, Alderley Edge/Heyes Lane, Wilmslow

from the junction of the Circuit to the junction of Hough Lane.

The alternative route will be via: Heyes Lane, Wilmslow Road, Whitehall Bridge Roundabout, Pendleton Way, Thorngrove Roundabout, Prestbury Road, Hough Lane, Hough Roundabout, Hough Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 23rd March 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the works to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Wednesday 8th April 2026.

Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Bentleyhurst Lane, Mere

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Bentleyhurst Lane, Mere – For its full extent

This order will come into operation on Monday 23rd February 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 6th March 2026.

Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Acacia Avenue, Knutsford

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Acacia Avenue, Knutsford – From the junction of Northwich Road to the junction of Westfield Drive

The alternative route will be via: Westfield Drive, Cranford Avenue, Stanley Road, Northwich Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 12th January 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 30th January 2026.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL SPEED LIMIT ORDER - CHESHIRE EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022 (AMENDMENT NO. 20) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 82, 84 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to:

    1. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the speed restriction indicated in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 by adding the following Map Tiles: BM122, BN122 and BO122 rev 0.

      The restrictions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any other enactment or having effect as if made under any such enactment.

SCHEDULE 1

(30mph Speed Limit)

Booth Bed Lane

From 10 metres east of the junction of Eaton Lane for a distance 48 metres in a northerly direction.

SCHEDULE 1

(40mph Speed Limit)

Booth Bed Lane

From a point 10 metres north of the boundary of Woodside Cottage to north of the boundary of Alloway and the administrative boundary of Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council for a distance of 470 metres.
