Bradford, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Public Safety Concerns

FOOTPATH NO. 288 BRADFORD SOUTH, BRADFORD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is satisfied pedestrians on or near Footpath No. 288 Bradford South, Bradford should be restricted or prohibited because of the likelihood of danger to the public has made the above-named Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Footpath No. 288 Bradford South from its junction with Newton Street to a point outside the side of No. 1 to 34 Coates Street.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to pedestrians connected with the works to be carried out on the said length of road.
Alternative routes for pedestrian traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Newton Street, Wootton Street, Coates Street, Cotewall Road, St Stephen’s Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 19th of January 2026 and remains in force until 23:55 hours on the 6th of February 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to six months if necessary).
