(A72 ISLAND STREET & HUNTER’S BRIDGE ROAD, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (A72 Island Street & Hunter’s Bridge Road, Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 19 January 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 21 January 2026. The Order is required for BT manhole cover works.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on the following roads in Galashiels:
(i) A72 Island Street, from outside Central Garage heading in a north-westerly direction for approximately 125 metres including entrance to bathroom showroom; and
(ii) Hunters Bridge Road from its junction with the A72 for approximately 45 metres.
A four-way traffic lights system shall be in operation.

(FOOTPATH - HALLIWELLS CLOSE, SELKIRK)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Footpath - Halliwells Close, Selkirk) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of six months, will come into force at 08:00 on 21 January 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 23 January 2026. The Order is required for SGN works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall walk, cycle, ride or wheel along Halliwells Close footpath, Selkirk.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Humes Close, Market Place and Halliwells Close to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(CHAPEL STREET, SELKIRK)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Chapel Street, Selkirk) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 07:30 on 19 January 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 1 February 2026 The Order is required for new water connection to supermarket.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Chapel Street, Selkirk.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Chapel Street, Ettrick Terrace, High Street and Scotts Place to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(MEIGLE ROW, CLOVENFORDS)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Meigle Row, Clovenfords) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 21 January 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of three days between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall
(i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and
(ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along Meigle Row, Clovenfords.
