What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF RYDAL ROAD DINNINGTON SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Rydal Road between properties 10 and 26 Rydal Road from Monday 26th January until Wednesday  28th January 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Repairs to telecom apparatus).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF B6067 MILL LANE TREETON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6067 Mill Lane for a distance of 15m either side of the railway bridge on Monday 19th January 2026 between 7pm and 10pm.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via B6067 Station Road, B6067 Well Lane, High Hazels Road, B6067 Wood Lane, B6067 Treeton Lane, Aughton, A618 Pleasley Road, A61B Guilthwaite Hill, A618 Pleasley Road, A631 West Bawtry Road, A630 Rotherway, A630 Rotherham Gateway, B6067 Poplar Way, B6067 Orgreave Road, B6067 Treeton Lane, Treeton and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Rail bridge inspection).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF HARRIS HAWK WAY WATH UPON DEARNE ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Harris Hawk Way from its junction with Manvers Way for a distance of approximately 70m in a north easterly direction for a period of up to two days between Thursday 29th January and Tuesday  31st March 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Rotary Drive, Kingsbrook Chase, Cambridge Mews, Fenlake Walk, Dorward Avenue, Colliery Avenue, The Nightingales, Manvers Way, Manvers Way The Nightingales Roundabout, Skylark View, Manvers Way Harris Hawk Way Roundabout and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Road maintenance works).

(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2011

No waiting at any time
Brecks Lane and A631 Bawtry Road, Brecks, Rotherham

Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council as highway authority  for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the  6th January 2026 and which comes into effect on the 30th March 2026. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 25th. September 2025 and is to introduce ‘No Waiting at any Time’ to the parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.

SCHEDULE

Schedule 1 No Waiting at Any Time

Brecks Lane, Brecks, Rotherham

i.   North-eastern kerb line from the extended north-western kerb line of East Bawtry Road for a distance of 45m in a north westerly direction.

ii.  South-western kerb line from the extended north-western kerb line of East Bawtry Road for a distance of 30m in a north westerly direction.

A631 Bawtry Road

i.   North-West kerb line from the extended south west kerb line of Brecks Lane for a distance of 10m in a south westerly direction

ii.  North-West kerb line from the extended north-eastern kerb line of Brecks Lane for a distance of 5m in a north easterly direction

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1) AND 14(7)
PART OF LAUGHTON ROAD AND
PART OF BARLEYCROFT LANE DINNINGTON SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY ORDER)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be from 8am on Sunday 25th. January until 5pm on Sunday 8th. February 2026 to:-

1.  To prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Laughton Road from its junction with B6060 Church Lane for a distance of approximately 90m in a north easterly direction.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via B6060 Church Lane, B6060 Littlefield Road, B6060 Undergate Road Roundabout, B6060 Undergate Road, Outgang Lane, Laughton Road.

2.  To suspend the One Way Order relating to Barleycroft Lane between its junction with Laughton Road and its junction with Lidgett Lane allowing two-way traffic.

The reason for the prohibition and suspension of one way order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (installation of a new electrical connection).
