What is happening?

Essex County Council
(Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping)
and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.53) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 32(1), 35(1)(45, 46, 49, 53, and Parts IV and III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

1. To Revoke: ‘Resident Parking Permit Holder Only Zone 3’ and To Extend: ‘No Stopping Except Buses’ restriction

Road Name

Description

Manor Street, Braintree Town

South Side: From a point approximately 3 metres east of the western boundary of No.30 Manor Street, east for approximately 6 metres.

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) And (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019’ by substituting map tile: TL760 230 Revision 0 to Revision 1.

(Station Road, Kelvedon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 80m north west of its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th February 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010649422/1 – Anglian Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while defect repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via B1024, A12, A120, B1024 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 22nd January 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Terling Road, Hatfield Peverel)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Terling Road, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 250m north west of its junction with Old Dairy Approach for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th February 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03067146410 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter maintenance works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via B1137, A12, Spinks Lane, Highfields Road, Spa Road, Powers Hall End, Terling Road, Whitman Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 22nd January 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
