Kirklees: (Dewsbury, East Brierley) - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -
SECTION 14 (PYRAH STREET/CARLTON ROAD, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pyrah Street/Carlton Road, Dewsbury from its junction with Hartley Street to its junction of Halifax Road and junction of Low Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Halifax Road, Stonefield Street, Hartley Street, Meadow Lane, Carlton Road - clockwise only.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 2 February 2026 and remain in force until 1 March 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BOND STREET/DEWSBURY RING ROAD,
DEWSBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBYGIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bond Street/ Dewsbury Ring Road, Dewsbury from a point at the side of No. 15 Bond Street to a point near footway outside No. 15 on Dewsbury Ring Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Dewsbury Ring Road, Wellington Road, Wellington Street, Daisy Hill, Grove Street, Bond Street - anticlockwise only from Ring Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 2 January 2026 and remain in force until 5 January 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CLIFF HOLLINS LANE, EAST BIERLEY, BRADFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBYGIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cliff Hollins Lane, East Bierley from a point outside Upper Chatts Farm for approximately 210 metres in a northerly direction PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Cliff Hollins Lane, South View Road, Hunsworth Lane, Whitehall Road, Chainbar roundabout, Bradford Road, Mill Carr Hill Road, Cliff Hollins Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 2 February 2026 and remain in force until 13 February 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PINFOLD HILL, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Primrose Hill, Dewsbury from its junction with Boothroyd Lane to its junction with Webster Hill PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Central Street, High Street, Cemetery Road, Huddersfield Road, Webster Hill (anti-clockwise only).

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 19 January 2026 and remain in force until 21 January 2026 between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
