SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL
(CROSS TURNER STREET, FORNHAM STREET AND CROSS TURNER
STREET) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC) (MAP SCHEDULE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 15 January 2026 Sheffield City Council made the above Orders which come into operation on the 22 January 2026 under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Orders will be to introduce:
No waiting at any time on parts of Turner Street
No Loading at any time on parts of Turner Street
Loading only place on part of Turner Street
Free parking place with a maximum stay of 15 minutes no return for 1 hour on parts of Cross Turner Street
One way Traffic (except cycles) on parts of Cross Turner Street and Fornham Street
One way Traffic on part of Turner Street
And remove:
No waiting at any time on parts of Turner Street
Loading only place on parts of Turner Street
Taxi Rank on parts of Cross Turner Street
One Way Traffic (except cycles) on part of Cross Turner Street, Fornham Street and Sheffield Station Access Road.

Between 15 January and 22 July 2026.
The City Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to the making of an Order for such indefinite continuation may do so, giving the grounds for the objection on

or in writing to the undersigned by the 22 July 2026.
Any alterations to this Order which will render it less restrictive may be authorised by the Director of Investment, Climate Change and Planning without the requirement to re-advertise the Order under Section 10(2) of the said Act, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 22 January 2026, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
