What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(VILLIERS AVENUE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Villiers Avenue between properties 22 to 26.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 26 January 2026 until 30 January 2026.
The diversion route is: Harper Road, Elm Avenue, Regent Street and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a new water connection by Severn Trent Water.
