NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP PART OF THE HIGHWAY ADJACENT TO MILL COTTAGE,
WASH GREEN, WIRKSWORTH, MATLOCK, DERBYSHIRE DE4 4BS

NOTICE is given that an application will be made by Derbyshire County Council, being the Highway Authority for the highway described below, to the Derby Justice Centre sitting at 18 St Mary’s Close, Derby DE4 4BS on 9 March 2026 at 10am for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 to authorise the stopping up of part of the highway adjacent to Mill Cottage, Wash Green, Wirksworth, Matlock, Derbyshire DE1 3JR shown shaded red on the attached plan on the grounds that the highway is no longer necessary.
A copy of this Notice and the plan may be inspected free of charge at the offices of Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire during normal opening hours.
Any person to whom this Notice has been given or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates’ Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application.
