Barnton Street, Friars Street, Murray Place - Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians and Suspension of Parking
What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICES
The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (Barnton Street, Friars Street, Murray Place, Stirling) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians and Suspension of Parking) Order 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 9-1-26.
This Order will close:
Murray Place On the west side of the road from the northern boundary of No 65 to the northern boundary of No 79 Murray Place. Please note this will only be during the erection and dismantling of the scaffolding.
The Order will also suspend the parking on:- Barnton Street On the eastern side of the road from the boundary of no’s 2/4 to the boundary of no’s 14-16 Barnton Street (except for taxis).
Friar Street On the east side of the road from the northern gable end of no 24 to the boundary of no’s 14-16 Friars Street.
Murray Place On the west side of the road from the southern gable end of No 2 to the boundary between no’s 75 / 75a Murray Place from 1-2-26 until 8-3-26 to facilitate the erection of scaffolding and replacement of windows.
Alternative Route: crossing from west side of Murray Place to east side of Murray Place, Station Road, Murray Place crossing back to west side of Murray Place.
