What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
MAIN STREET, HOTHAM

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Main Street, Hotham between 08.00 hours until
20.00 hours commencing 19 January 2026 until
23 January 2026 and between 08.00 hours until
20.00 hours to allow works for a new water supply to
be installed on Main Street, Hotham.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Church Lane, Padcroft Lane, South
Newbald Road, Hotham Road, South Cave Road,
Kettlethorpe Hill, Wold Hill, Church Street, Nordham,
Blossoms Lane, North Cave Road and Rectory Lane,
Hotham CP, South Cave CP, North Cave CP, Newbald
CP, Howdenshire Ward, Beverley Rural Ward, Dale
Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
