What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(THE LYNCH, KENSWORTH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Lynch, Kensworth outside Corner Cottage.

This temporary closure is required to enable frame and lid repair/ replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 February 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via The Lynch, Spratts Lane, Lynch Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 11 February 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(MONMOUTH ROAD, HARLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Monmouth Road, Harlington at the junction with Daubeney Close.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 February between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Goswell End Rd, Lincoln Way and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 11 February 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(MANCROFT ROAD, CADDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mancroft Road, Caddington between the length of Dunstable Road and number 1.

This temporary closure is required to enable sewer cleaning work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 26 January 2026 between the hours of 930am and 1530pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Luton Rd, B4540, Markyate Rd, Church Rd, Mancroft Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thrales End Lane, Harpenden between Thrales End Business Centre and Luton Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 28 January between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B653, West Hyde Rd, A1081 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
