Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BECKHAM EAST AND WEST – U14307 Church Road from its junction with C528 Beckham Palace Road for 30m eastwards to facilitate meter exchange works between 08:00 and 16:00 on 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). Alternative route is via: U14307 Church Road, U14307 Otters Lane, C623 Red Barn Lane, C302 Gibbet Lane, A148 Holt Road, A148 Cromer Road, C528 The Street, C528 Church Road (East Beckham, Upper Sheringham, West Beckham, Bodham). BLOFIELD – Yarmouth Road from 150m west of its junction with Stocks Lane for 50m westwards to facilitate chamber cover and replacement works from 19th to 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Yarmouth Road, Stocks Lane, Brundall Road, Blofield Road, The Street, Clucumb Lane, A47 From Start of Dualling East of Blofield To A1042 including Roundabouts W (Brundall, Postwick with Witton, Blofield). BUXTON WITH LAMAS – C245 Mill Street from 80m west of its junction with Mill Reach for 40m westwards to facilitate works for a new gas connection from 17th to 18th January 2026 (may continue until 1st March 2026). Alternative route is via: Mill Street, Coltishall Road, B1354 Buxton Road/Rectory Road, B1150 Norwich Road/High Street, Great Hautbois Road, Hautbois Road, Little Hautbois Road, Scottow Road, The Street (Horstead with Stanninghall, Frettenham, Buxton with Lammas, Coltishall). BUXTON WITH LAMAS – C246 Brook Street from its junction with Crown Road for 510m southwards to facilitate installation of a new fibre network for BDUK from 22nd to 28th January 2026 (may continue until 11th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Crown Road, Aylsham Road, Coltishall Road, Buxton Road, B1354 Old Church Road, Buxton Road (Horstead with Stanninghall, Frettenham, Buxton with Lammas, Stratton Strawless, Hainford). GORLESTON-ON-SEA & GREAT YARMOUTH – Middleton Road (southbound only) from its junction with the B1370 Roundabout to its junction with the A47 Roundabout (“Road A”) and various side roads off Middleton Road as follows: 1) Middleton Gardens, Stradbrooke Road, Suffield Road, Albermarle Road, Elm Grove Road and Popular Avenue (the “Side Roads”); 2) Middleton Gardens, Stradbrooke Road, Suffield Road, Albermarle Road, Elm Avenue, Elm Grove Road and Popular Avenue (the “Left Turn Restriction Roads”); 3) Pound Lane, Connaught Avenue Gloucester Avenue, Peter House Avenue, St Catherines Way and Western Road (the “Right Turn Restriction Roads”).

The Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and each of the Side Roads will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) from the side roads junction with Middleton Road for 20 metres eastwards.

The Left Turn Restriction Roads shall be subject to the imposition of a no left turn restriction from any of the listed Left Turn Restriction Roads onto Middleton Road and the Right Turn Restriction Roads shall be subject to the imposition of a no right turn restriction from any of the listed Right Turn Restriction Roads onto Middleton Road to facilitate cycle lane construction works. These restrictions will be in place from 17th January to 18th February 2026 (may continue until 18th August 2026). Nothing in this Order shall prevent construction traffic relating to these works from turning left from Elm Avenue onto Middleton Road. Alternative route is via: Church Road, Beccles Road, Western Bypass, Beaufort Way, Road from Beaufort Way to Woodfarm Lane, Carrel Road, Jenner Road, A47 Gorleston on Sea from Roundabout to B1370 Including Roundabout, Lowestoft Road (Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Bradwell). GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD – Great and Little Plumstead Road BR7 from of its junction with Green Lane West to its junction with Plumstead Road to facilitate installation of a new duct for Rackheath medical centre from from 19th to 30th January 2026 (may continue until 13th March 2026). Alternative route is N/A. The works promoter is BT.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Footpath Rear of 15 to 22 Hammond Road from its junction with Belvidere Road for 21m westwards to facilitate lead replacement works from 19th to 30th January 2026 (may continue until 13th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Hammond Road, Moat Road, Stanley Road, Belvedere Road. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Way from its junction with South Quay for 122m eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works between 19:00 and 23:00 on 19th January 2026 (may continue until 2nd March 2026). Alternative route is via: King Street, St Peters Road, Blackfriars Road, Queens Road, South Quay. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Northgate Street from 15m southwest of its junction with Town Wall Mews for 20m south-westwards to facilitate new gas connection works, traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load and/or unload including in pre-existing parking bays from 21st to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Cadent.

GREAT YARMOUTH – High Hill Road from its junction with Gatacre for 45m eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Gatacre Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HORSTEAD WITH STANNINGHALL – U51420 Rectory Road from its junction with B1354 Rectory Road for 10m north-eastwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works from 20th to 22nd January 2026 (may continue until 5th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Rectory Road, B1354 Rectory Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

LINGWOOD WITH BURLINGHAM – Station Road for 100m south of its junction with Post Office Road for 140m southwards to facilitate rail junction inspection works between 22:00 on 18th January and 06:00 on 19th January 2026 (may continue until 2nd March 2026). Alternative route is via: Station Road, Norwich Road, Chapel Road, Post Office Road. The works promoter is Network Rail.

MARTHAM – C456 Staithe Road from 50m west of its junction with C640 Somerton Road for 50m westwards to facilitate water meter replacement works from 19th to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Staithe Road, Black Street, White Street, Repps Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

NEATISHEAD – U19071 School Road from its junction with U19076 Kings Street for 465m north-eastwards to facilitate new duct installation works for BDUK from 22nd January to 4th February 2026 (may continue until 18th March 2026). OVERSTRAND – U14334 Northrepps Road from its junction with C634 Cromer Road for 50m south-westwards to facilitate carriageway surveying works between 09:00 and 16:00 on 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). WALSINGHAMA) Bridewell Street from its junction with Guild Street for 35m southwards and B) Bridewell Street from 35m south of its junction with Guild Street for 77m southwards to facilitate structural repair works. The Order continues the provisions of the notice dated 23rd December 2025 that the Road A will be temporarily closed and the Road B will be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (northbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a northerly and southerly direction from 22nd January to 6th March 2026 (previously 1st to 21st January 2026) (may continue until September 2026). FELTWELL – U21506 Anchor Drove (Feltwell Iron Bridge) from the north end of the bridge for 40m southwards owing to the weak structural condition of the bridge. The Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 23rd December 2025 that the Road will be subject to the temporary imposition of a 7.5 tonne weight restriction from 23rd January 2026 to 12th June 2027 (previously 2nd to 22nd January 2026). HEACHAM – Ringstead Road from its junction with A149 Redgate Hill for 160m north-eastwards to facilitate blockage clearing and pole bend replacement works from 21st to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). KING’S LYNN – U20535 Southgate Street from its junction with U20537 Horsley Court for 30m south-eastwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works on 20th to 22nd January 2026 (may continue until 5th March 2026). OUTWELL – C5 Stow Road from its junction with C16 Marsh Road for 40m southwards to facilitate pole replacement works between 08:30 and 16:00 on 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). Alternative route is via: Stow Road, Langhorns Lane, Downham Road, Wisbech Road, Hall Road, Marsh Road. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

UPWELL – Thurlands Drove from 480m northwest of its junction with C109 March Riverside for 30m north-westwards to facilitate stop tap replacement work from 19th to 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Thurlands Drove, March Riverside, New Bridge, Town Street, Pius Drove, The Common (Outwell, Upwell). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is West Streetworks.

(ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

AYLSHAM – C228 Heydon Road from 45m west of its junction with Sandy Lane for 60m westwards to facilitate new gas connection works from 12th to 16th January 2026 (may continue until 27th February 2026). Alternative route is via: Heydon Road, Aylsham Road, New Road, Blickling Road, Heydon Road (Aylsham, Blickling, Oulton). The works promoter is Cadent.

CAISTER-ON-SEA – U62235 Prince of Wales Road from its junction with C483 Norwich Road for 20m northwards to facilitate highway construction works under a S278 agreement from 12th January to 6th February 2026 (may continue until 6th August 2026). Alternative route is via: Norwich Road, Jack Chase Way, Prince of Wales Road (West Caister, Caister-on-Sea). The works promoter is Persimmon Homes.

CATFIELDA) C536 Long Lane from its junction with U19195 Elderbush Lane for 230m northwards and; B) C536 Long Lane from 165m southeast of its junction with U19195 Elderbush Lane to its junction with U19157 Mill Lane and; C) U19159 Elderbush Lane from 150m west of its junction with C536 Long Lane for 80m eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. The Road A will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access) and the Roads B–C will be temporarily subject to a 40mph speed restriction from 12th January to 6th March 2026 (may continue until 6th September 2026). Alternative route is via: Long Lane, Ludham Road, Catfield Road, High Street, A1062 Yarmouth Road, Market Road, Long Lane (Ludham, Potter Heigham, Catfield). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. NB: the closure/restriction over the Road A will only be in operation when signed on site.

CORPUSTY AND SAXTHORPE – U14256 The Street from its junction with U11072 Mountains Road for 50m south-westwards to facilitate new customer service provision works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 15th January 2026 (may continue until 26th February 2026). Alternative route is via: U14256 The Street/Town Close/Lane Close/Locks Farm Road, B1354 Briston Road/Aylsham Road, Link Road Roundabout, B1149 Link Road, C288 Norwich Road. The works promoter is BT.

CROMER – A148 Holt Road from 41m northwest of its junction with Davey Hill for 20m north-eastwards to facilitate railway bridge inspection works between 22:00 and 06:00 from 12th to 13th January 2026 (may continue until 24th February 2026). Alternative route is via: A148 Holt Road, A1082 Holway Road, A149 Cromer Road/High Street/Runton Road/Prince of Wales Road/Hamilton Road/Church Street/Mount Street, Louden Road, A148 West Street (Sheringham, East Beckham, Cromer, Aylmerton, Upper Sheringham, Runton, Felbrigg, Beeston Regis). The works promoter is Network Rail.

EDGEFIELDA) Ramsgate Street from 156m north of its junction with Link Lane for 200m north-westwards and

B) Chapel Hill from its junction with Ramsgate Street for 20m eastwards to facilitate drainage works from 12th January to 13th March 2026 (may continue until 13th September 2026). Alternative route is via: A) Ramsgate Street, Briston Road, Church Lane, B1149 Norwich Road, Edgefield Road Chapel Hill; B) Chapel Hill B1149 Norwich Road, Church Lane, Edgefield Road, Ramsgate Street (Edgefield, Corpusty and Saxthorpe). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GIMINGHAM – C295 Mill Street from its junction with C295 Church Street for 214m north-eastwards to facilitate blockage clearing and duct installation works between 09:00 and 15:00 from 14th to 16th January 2026 (may continue until 27th February 2026). Alternative route is via: C295 Church Street/Road/Gimingham Road, C634 Mundesley Road/Cromer Road/Back Street/High Street, C635 Water Lane, C292 Bacton Road (Gimingham, Trunch, Mundesley, Trimingham). The works promoter is BT.

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Riverside Road from its junction with Ferry Hill for 390m southwards to facilitate retaining wall construction works from 12th January to 6th March 2026 (may continue until 6th September 2026). Alternative route is via: Mathouse Lane, Riverside Road, Ferry Hill, Bridge Quay, Pier Walk, Englands Lane, Back Pier Plain, Pier Plain, Baker Street, Church Lane, Church Road, Beccles Road, William Adams Way. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Frederick Road from 25m east of its junction with Northgate Street for 25m south-eastwards to facilitate new gas connection works from 12th to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Northgate Street, Kitchener Road, Magdovre Road, North Road. The works promoter is Cadent.

GREAT YARMOUTHA) A149 Acle New Road at its junction with A149 Acle New Road Roundabout for 20m north-westwards; and B) A149 North Quay Road from its junction with A149 Acle New Road Roundabout for 83m northwards; and C) B1141 Fullers Hill from its junction with A149 Acle New Road Roundabout for 150m south-eastwards; and D) B1141 North Quay from its junction with A149 Acle New Road Roundabout for 55m southwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and lining works between 19:00 and 06:00 from 12th to 24th January 2026 (may continue until 7th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Acle New Road, A47 J A12/A149 Roundabout, A47 From J A1243 to A149 Runham Road Roundabout, Western Bypass, A47 J A1243 Roundabout, Pasteur Road, Bridge Road, Haven Bridge, North Quay. Other Diversion: A149 Acle New Road, A47 New Road, A1064 Old Road/Main Road, A149 Norwich Road/Caister Bypass/Caister Road/Lawn Avenue/North Quay. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Regent Street from its junction with Hall Plain for 80m south-westwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works between 19:00 and 23:00 from 12th to 13th January 2026 (may continue until 24th February 2026). Alternative route is via: Regent Street, Howard Street South, Market Gates Way, North Quay, Hall Quay. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH A) Mill Road from 50m east of its junction with Gatacre Road for 85m eastwards; and B) Mill Road from its junction with Saw Mill Lane for 20m southwards; and C) Lady Haven Road from its junction with Saw Mill Lane for 20m northwards; and D) Isaacs Road (north side only) from its junction with Mill Road for 150m eastwards to facilitate resurfacing works. The Roads A–C will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road D shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 14th to 16th January 2026 (may continue until 27th February 2026). Alternative route is via: Dene Side Road, Pasteur Road, Southtown Road, Sussex Road, Ladbrooke Road, Marsh Road, Granville Road, Lucas Road, Sussex Way, Bredon Road, Lady Haven Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
NB: Please note that only one of the restrictions over the Roads A–C will be in place at any one time. The restriction over the Road D is in place in order to facilitate the alternative route.
