ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE U7037 TWTES CORNER, HARGRAVE ROAD
AND COBBS HALL ROAD, GREAT SAXHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
* U7037 Twites Corner, Great Saxham
* U7037 Hargrave Road, Great Saxham
* U7037 Cobbs Hall Road, Great Saxham from
St Andrews Church to Woodcrest.
This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Cobbs Hall Road, Chevington Road, Hargrave Road, Bury Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/01/2026 - 13/02/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE U6520 MILL ROAD (SOUTH) MILL ROAD (NORTH),
U6720 JACQUELINE CLOSE, U6720 ST MARYS COURT,
DRUMMOND COURT, U6521 CASTLE ROAD,
U6503 CHALK ROAD SOUTH AND
U6508 CHALK ROAD NORTH, BURY ST EDMUNDS
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

* U6520 Mill Road (South), Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Hospital Road for 231 metres northbound
* U6520 Mill Road (North), Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Kings Road for 138 metres southbound
* U6720 Jacqueline Close, Bury St Edmunds
* U6720 St Marys Court, Bury St Edmunds
* Drummond Court, Bury St Edmunds
* U6521 Castle Road, Bury St Edmunds.

* U6503 Chalk Road South, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Kings Road for 156 metres northbound.
* U6508 Chalk Road North, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with the junction with the A1302 for 137 metres southbound.
This is to facilitate a gas mains replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
There will be no diversion route.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION
OF PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITH EXEMPTIONS
ON PART OF THE U5016 ELLIOTT STREET AND
U5007 BURLINGTON ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5016 Elliott Street from London Road for 50 metres southbound to facilitate a gas replacement scheme. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Dilwyn Street West, Stevenson Road, Burlington Road, London Road and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will also be a temporary suspension of the prohibition of motor vehicles with exemptions on the U5007 Burlington Road, Ipswich to allow diversion route.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 21/01/2026 – 06/02/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF
THE U512 HIGH BAXTER STREET, BURY ST EDMUNDS
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U512 High Baxter Street, Bury St Edmunds to facilitate safety during demolition works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Hatter Street, Churchgate Street, Guildhall Street, Westgate Street, Crown Street, Angel Hill, Northgate Street, Looms Lane, Brentgovel Street and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 21/01/2026 – 25/02/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
