What is happening?

In the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, TONBRIDGE AND MALLING) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2025

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic
Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, has made the above Order.


The effect of the Order is;

In Hildenborough
• To introduce new double yellow lines on Watts Cross Road (at its junction
with B245 London Road
• To introduce new double yellow lines on the southwest side of B245
London Road from just north of Watts Cross Road, southeastwards to
Noble Tree Road.
• To introduce new double yellow lines on the northeast side of B245
London Road, from just south of Watts Cross Road to the northern junction
with Foxbush.
• To introduce new double yellow lines around and opposite the junction of
Riding Lane and Riding Park.
• To convert the existing single yellow line on Leigh Road (opposite the
Stocks Green Road junction) to double yellow lines.


A copy of the Order and a statement of reasons for making the Order may be
inspected during normal working hours at the Tonbridge and Malling Council
Offices, Kings Hill, West Malling.
The Order may also be viewed on www.tmbc.gov.uk/parkingorders
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulations 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
