Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A20 Gorse Hill, Farningham & A20 London Road, West Kingsdown, DA4 0BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of resurfacing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 Gorse Hill, Farningham and A20 London Road, West Kingsdown, on or after 2nd February 2026 for up to 16 nights between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed between Barrowfield Mews and Eglantine Lane.
The alternative route is via A20 London Road, A227 Gravesend Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 South Street, A227 Wrotham Road, B260 Longfield Road, B260 Main Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, Darenth Hill, Parsonage Lane, A225 Main Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 Main Road and vice versa.
B269 Pootings Road, Four Elms, TN8 6NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of drainage works to prevent further flooding to the highway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B269 Pootings Road, Four Elms.
Phase 1: 2nd February 2026 to 14th February 2026. The road will be closed from Four Elms Road to outside number 6 Furze Bank.
Phase 2: 2nd March 2026 to 14th March 2026. The road will be closed from outside number 6 Furze Bank to Orchard House.
The alternative route is via B2027 Four Elms Road, B2026 Station Road, B2026 Main Road, B269 Spout Lane, B269 Pootings Road and vice versa.
Beesfield Lane, Farningham, DA4 0BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the installation of new electricity cables, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beesfield Lane, Farningham, on or after 22nd January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside White Cottage, 40.
The alternative route is via Beesfield Lane, Maplescombe Lane, Botsom Lane, A20 London Road/Gorse Hill/London Road, A225 Eynsford Road and vice versa.
Coles Lane, Brasted, TN16 1JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To safely clear blockages in ducts, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coles Lane, Brasted, on or after 20th January 2026 for up to 3 days between 09.00hrs and 19.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Hedgerows to Church Road.
The alternative route is via Coles Lane, Rectory Lane, A25 High Street, Church Road and vice versa.
Montfort Road, Kemsing, TN15 6SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because a new electric service is to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Montfort Road, Kemsing, on or after 2nd February 2026 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 16.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Shoreham Lane, Riverhead, TN13 3DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shoreham Lane, Riverhead, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A224 Amherst Hill.
The alternative route is via A25 Maidstone Road, A224 London Road/Amherst Hill, Shoreham Lane and vice versa.
Watery Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6QY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of a telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Watery Lane, Kemsing, on or after 22nd January 2026 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from approx. 300m south of the junction with Honey Pot Lane.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Watery Lane - A25 Maidstone Road - School Lane - Childsbridge Lane - West End - Heaverham Road - Watery Lane.
Or Watery Lane - Heaverham Road - West End - Childsbridge Lane - Church Street - A25 Maidstone Road - Watery Lane.
