TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000147625527: The City of Manchester (Levenshulme B Phase 4 Gully Cleaning, Levenshulme Ward)(Temporary No waiting and No Loading) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular traffic on Derby Grove, Harwich Close, Dunstable Street, Montreal Street, Emley Street, Rushmere Avenue, Kind Edward Street and Westminster Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate gully cleaning and potential pothole repair works. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 22nd January 2026 between the hours of 08.30-16.00. The order shall come into operation on the 22nd January 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 9th January 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC147637313: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Woodhouse Park Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & Temporary Speed Reduction) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Wilmslow Road from it’s junction with Mill lane to the Authority Boundary. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed Locally. The City Council is satisfied that these restrictions are necessary in order to facilitate maintenance works on the airport tunnels. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 18th January 2026 to 17th June 2027. The order shall come into operation on 18th January 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
