(Southbourne: Lumley Road)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Lumley Road.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst water works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 26 January 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 26 January 2026 and will be completed by 6 February 2026.

Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to MTS Cleansing Ltd telephone number 01634 285856. Any queries about the effect of the Order on vehicles using the highway should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Chichester: Brandy Hole Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Brandy Hole Lane between West Broyle Road and Warren Farm Lane.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst gas mains replacement works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 3 November 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on or after 3 November 2025 and will take 3 weeks to complete.

Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to SGN, telephone number 07970 021454. Any queries about the effect of the Order on vehicles using the highway should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Middleton-On-Sea: Ancton Lane) (20 MPH Speed

Limit) and (Various Roads: Speed Limit Consolidation) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact the recently installed 20MPH speed limit on Ancton Lane in Middleton-On-Sea from a point 45M east of Yapton Road, to a point 40 north of Kingsmead Gardens.

The Order also consolidates the existing 30MPH speed limits onKingsmead Road and Kingsmead Gardens.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 12 January 2026, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 8 January 2026, apply to the High Court
