(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Hanlye Lane throughout its entire length in the parishes of Haywards Heath, Cuckfield and Ansty & Staplefield.

The road closure is needed to maintain safety while works are carried out to install a road safety improvement scheme.

The Order will come into effect on 26 January 2026 and remain in force until 20 February 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Lindfield: East Mascalls Lane)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close East Mascalls Lane in Lindfield from its junction with the B2111 to a point 100M east of its junction with Snowflakes Lane.

The road closure is needed due to the road being flooded and to allow any necessary remedial works to be carried out.

The Order extends the operation of an emergency closure notice and will come into effect on 13 January 2026. The Order will remain in place until it is safe to re-open the road.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
