Hammerton Street, Bradford - Temporary Road Closure due to Network Rail Works

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
HAMMERTON STREET, BRADFORD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of Network Rail works proposed to be executed on or near Hammerton Street, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Hammerton Street from 20 metres either side of rail overbridge.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Hammerton Street (unaffected section), Bowling Back Lane, Birksland Street, Leeds Road, Edderthorpe Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 22:00 hours on the 19th of January 2026 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on the 20th of January 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
