What is happening?

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE)

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) ORDER 2026

The Council of Staffordshire on the 6th of January 2026 did make the above Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and will come into date on 12th of January 2026

1. The effect of these Orders is as follows:

TRO – 100x The effect of the above order will be to reintroduce all static parking, waiting, loading and stopping restrictions currently enforced within the District of South Staffordshire into a revised map-based format. There will be no material change to any of the operational specifications or dimensions of those restrictions.

A copy of the Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders will be available for inspection on the following website https://consultation.appyway. com/south-staffordshire or in writing to Traffic Regulation Order Team, Staffordshire Council, Staffordshire Place Tipping Street Stafford S16 2DH until 17th February 2026. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
