What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF B6067 MILL LANE TREETON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6067 Mill Lane for a distance of 15m either side of the railway bridge on Monday 19th. January 2026 between 7pm and 10pm.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via B6067 Station Road, B6067 Well Lane, High Hazels Road, B6067 Wood Lane, B6067 Treeton Lane, Aughton, A618 Pleasley Road, A61B Guilthwaite Hill, A618 Pleasley Road, A631 West Bawtry Road, A630 Rotherway, A630 Rotherham Gateway, B6067 Poplar Way, B6067 Orgreave Road, B6067 Treeton Lane, Treeton and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Rail bridge inspection).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1) AND 14(7)
PART OF HAGUE LANE WENTWORTH ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT RESTRICTION)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily suspend part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction)

(Consolidation) Order 2004 and reduce the speed limit from 60 miles hour to 30 miles per hour for motor vehicles travelling along that part of Hague Lane from its junction with B6089 Cortworth Lane Cortworth Lane/Main Street for its entirety for numerous occasions between Monday 12th January and Thursday 30th April 2026.

The reason for the speed limit order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Safety of site personnel whilst undertaking Installation of new sewer).
