What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(PARK STREET, AMPTHILL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Park Street, Ampthill outside number 10.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 4 February 2026 between the hours of 9am and 4pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Park Hill, B530, Bedford Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 February 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(SALFORD ROAD, ASPLEY GUISE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Salford Road, Aspley Guise outside numbers 71 to 73.

This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 6 February 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Salford Road, Crabtree Lane, Cranfield Road, Station Road, Weathercock Lane, West Hill, Church Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 February 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(THE BRACHE, MAULDEN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Brache, Maulden outside number 68.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 9 February 2026 between the hours of 8am and 4pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Limbersey Lane, West End, A6, A507, C100, Clophill Rd, Ampthill rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 6 February 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
