Leicestershire: (Multiple Areas) - Temporary Prohibition of All Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.
ELM LANE, CATTHORPE & MAIN STREET, SHAWELL
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 06/02/2026 and have a maximum duration of 12 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 days at each location to allow Cityfibre to undertake new installation works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 09/02//2026 and have a maximum duration of 12 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 weeks to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake mains renewal works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 02/02/2026 and have a maximum duration of 12 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 days at each location to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway maintenance & drainage works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.
HIGH STREET, FLECKNEY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
ORDER 2025
The Order will come into force on 21/01/2026 and have a maximum duration of 12 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake manhole cover & frame repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Kibworth Rd, Warwick Rd, Wistow Rd, Leicester Rd & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 21/01/2026 and have a maximum duration of 10 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 days to allow Network Rail to undertake overnight bridge inspection works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Gorse Ln, Rockingham Rd, St Marys Rd & vice versa.

ORDER 2025
EXTENSION NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by the Leicestershire County Council on 17/07/2025 and which came into effect on 28/07/2025 will be continued in force until 26/04/2026 or until the works have been completed. The effect of the Order is to continue to allow for the closure of those lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The roads are being closed for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to continue to undertake highway drainage improvements.
