(EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026
PROHIBITION OF WAITING – VICARAGE LANE, ROYSTON
Notice is hereby given that on the 9th day of January 2026 the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council made the above-named Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which is to introduce an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order which will make changes to waiting and stopping restrictions on Vicarage Lane, Royston, Barnsley.
The order will come into effect on 16th January 2026 for a trial period of 18 months during which time the Council will assess the effectiveness of the restrictions and the impact it has on the road. It will then be considered whether the measures should be continued in force permanently.
