What is happening?

FALKIRK COUNCIL

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on:

Bulloch Crescent, Denny from 07:30 hours on 12/01/26 until 17:00 hours on 15/01/26. The prohibition is to allow carriageway surfacing work to be carried out safely.
1. This Order temporarily closes Bulloch Crescent from its junction with Shanks Avenue to its junction with Overton Crescent.
2. Alternative Route is Overton Crescent, Little Denny Road, Glasgow Road, Anderson Drive, Lochhead Avenue, Shanks Avenue and vice versa.

Glenyards Road, Bonnybridge from 22:00 on 12/01/26 until 06:00 on 13/01/26. The prohibition is to allow for Bridge Inspection/Repairs to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Glenyards Road, Bonnybridge from a point adjacent to Reilly Road in a southerly direction for approximately 50 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is Reilly Road, B816, C46, C15, C16 or vice versa.

Hazel Crescent, Denny from 09:00 on 12/01/26 until 18:00 on 16/01/26. The prohibition is to allow for Scottish Water works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Hazel Crescent, Denny from a point adjacent to Linden Avenue in an easterly direction for approximately 30 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is Linden Avenue, Hawthorn Drive or vice versa.

Nicolton Road, Polmont from 00:01 on 12/01/26 until 23:59 on 16/01/26. The prohibition is to allow for Drainage Connection to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Nicolton Road, Polmont from a point adjacent to A803 in a southerly direction for approximately 1000 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: A803, B810, C29, B805, Nicolton Road or vice versa.

Wallace Street, Falkirk from 07.30 hours on 12/01/2026 until 17.00 hours on 15/01/2026. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway resurfacing.
1. This Order temporarily closes Wallace Street from its junction with Thornhill Road to its junction with St Johns Avenue.
2. The alternative route: Thornhill Road, Dalderse Avenue, Grahams Road, Wallace Street and vice versa.

Duke Street, Denny from 09:00 on 13/01/26 until 18:00 on 19/01/26. The prohibition is to allow for Scottish Water works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Duke Street, Denny from a point adjacent to Davies Row in a westerly direction for approximately 50 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is Duke Street, A872, A883 or vice versa.

Gorrie Street from 07:30 hours on 15/01/26 until 17:00 hours on 17/01/26. The prohibition is to allow carriageway surfacing work to be carried out safely.
1. This Order temporarily closes Gorrie Street from its junction with Glebe Street to its junction with Dryburgh Avenue
2. Alternative Route is Glebe Street, Dryburgh Avenue, Gorrie Street and vice versa.

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit waiting in:

James Street, Longcroft from 09:30 until 18:00 on 12/01/26. The prohibition is to allow for Ironworks repairs to be undertaken.
1. This order prohibits waiting on James Street, Longcroft from a point adjacent to Kilsyth Road in a southerly direction on both sides for approximately 30 metres or thereby.

Glasgow Road, Longcroft from 09:30 until 18:00 on 13/01/26. The prohibition is to allow for Ironworks repairs to be undertaken.
1. This order prohibits waiting on Glasgow Road, Longcroft from a point adjacent to number 205 in a westerly direction on both sides for approximately 80 metres or thereby.

Glasgow Road, Longcroft from 09:30 until 18:00 on 15/01/26. The prohibition is to allow for Ironworks repairs to be undertaken.
1. This order prohibits waiting on Glasgow Road, Longcroft from a point adjacent to number 292 in a westerly direction on both sides for approximately 100 metres or thereby.
