PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(PARKFIELD ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Parkfield Road at its junction with Ettingshall Road, Millfield Road and Manor Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 18 January 2026 until 19 January 2026, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00.
The diversion route is: Millfields Road, Millfields Bridge, Millfields Road, Coseley Road, Coseley Road Island, Black Country Route, Oxford Street Island, Oxford Street, Lichfield Street, Wellington Road, Bilston Road, Bilston Street Island, Ring Road St Georges, Dudley Road, Parkfield Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a tactile inspection of a rail overroad bridge by Network Rail.
