Edinburgh, Ellersly Road Area- Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, to allow for resurfacing works.

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL (ELLERSLY ROAD AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026 - TEMP/26/19

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & footway works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of: (i) Ellersly Rd; (ii) Belmont Gdns; (iii) Belmont Pk; (iv) Belmont Vw; (v) Belmont Ave, at Belmont Gdns; (vi) Kinellan Rd, at Ellersly Rd; & (vii) Belmont Cres, from the extended south kerbline of Belmont Gdns, southwards for 14m; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of: (i) Ellersly Rd, both sides; (ii) Belmont Gdns, both sides; (iii) Belmont Pk, both sides; (iv) Belmont Vw, both sides; (v) Belmont Cres, both sides, from the extended south kerbline of Belmont Gdns, southwards for 14m; & (vi) Murrayfield Rd, both sides, from the extended north kerbline of Corstorphine Rd, northwards to the extended north kerbline of Murrayfield Dr. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected section of road described in (b). The Greenway stopping, waiting, loading & unloading prohibitions shall be suspended in relation to the affected sections of Ellersly Rd & Murrayfield Dr. The alternative routes for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closures of: (a) Ellersly Rd is Murrayfield Rd & Corstorphine Rd; (b) Kinellan Rd is Kinellan Rd, Murrayfield Rd & Corstorphine Rd; & (c) Belmont Cres is Belmont Cres, Corstorphine Rd & Murrayfield Rd. There are no available diversions with respect to the road closures of Belmont Gdns, Belmont Pk, Belmont Vw & Belmont Ave, where local access will be maintained where practical. The Order shall have effect from 12/01/26 to 27/03/26.
