What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
CLEMENTHORPE/STADDLETHORPE BROAD LANE, GILBERDYKE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Clementhorpe/Staddlethorpe Broad Lane, Gilberdyke between 09.00 hours until 16.00 hours commencing 12 January 2026 until 16 January 2026 and again from 19 January 2026 until 23 January 2026 to allow works for the removal of dying/diseased trees to be completed in shifts. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Scalby Lane, Tongue Lane, Faxfleet Lane and Blacktoft Lane, Gilberdyke CP, Blacktoft CP, Howdenshire Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
