ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PIPERS LANE, ALEY GREEN)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Pipers Lane, Aley Green.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 4 February between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 2 February 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (MILLFIELD LANE, CADDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Millfield Lane, Caddington 20M North of The Jays.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway reconstruction work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 19 to 21 January 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Millfield Lane, Caddington Commons, B4540, Mancroft Rd, Dunstable Rd.

The Order will come into operation on 19 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN SUNDON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the following roads/ lengths of road in Harlington Road, Sundon and Streatley Road, Sundon a) From 55 Harlington Road to Streatley Road

b) from Tythe farm bus stop to Harlington Road

These temporary closures are required to enable rising main replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on Harlington Road from 5 January to 6 February and Streatley Road from 14 January to 9 June 2026. The roads will be closed at all times during this period. Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time. Please note both roads wont be closed at the same time.

The alternative routes for these closures, where available, are:Streatley Rd, Church Rd, Manor Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 14 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (SUNDON ROAD, CHALTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sundon Road, Chalton from Luton Road Roundabout to The Old Barn.

This temporary closure is required to enable cabling and desilting work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 21 January 2026 between the hours of 0930 and 1530 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Sundon Rd, Manor Rd, Streatley Rd, Sundon Rd, Church Rd, A6, A505, A5505, B5790 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 21 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
