What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(White Horse Ln, Whitchurch) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in White Horse Ln for approx. 28M. The closure is required whilst Openreach overhead cabling works commence on 15 January 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 15 January 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Church End, Drayton Parslow) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Church End for approx. 57M. Alternative route: Main Rd, Chapel Ln, Church End and vice versa. The closure is required whilst SGN new service connection commence on 26 January 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Tring Rd, Wingrave) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Tring Rd for approx. 29M. Alternative route: Tring Rd, Dark Ln, Mill Ln, Leighton Rd, Ledburn Rd, Mentmore Rd, High St, Pitstone Rd, Cheddington Rd, Lower Icknield Way, Wingrave Rd, Station Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water repack/repair sluice works commence on 20 January 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 20 January 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. QUA10A/1, Parish of Quainton) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of QUA 11/1 and QUA 10A/1 and continues north to the junction of QUA 10A/1 and HOG 7/2. Alternative route is via existing public highway network. The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to a failed bridge needing replacement. The Order will come into operation on 1 January 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. 7/1, Parish of Weston Turville) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at Rectory Farm, New Road, Weston Turville to A41 Aylesbury Road. Alternative route is via existing public highway network. The closure is required in the interest of public safety during the construction of the Southern Link Road dual carriageway and other public roads and footways within the Hampden Fields (East) Development. The Order will come into operation on 5 January 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
