What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the following Order,
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Belle Vue, Wordsley) Order 2026 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Belle Vue, Wordsley, for the purpose of a new gas supply being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 16/1/2026 and will remain in force until Friday 16th June 2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Bells Lane, Ashwood Avenue, Arundel Road, and vice versa.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do so.
