What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) C220 (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with B3353 for a distance of approximately 1.1km in a north easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out cabling and associated works. Alternative route via C220 (unaffected length) – A350 – B3353 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 26 January 2026 and the closure will be until 19:00 on 27 March 2026. B) C10 (Part), Boyton; from its property known as Model Farm for a distance of approximately 250m in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out urgent surfacing and associated works. Alternative route via C10 (unaffected length) – C272 – A36 – A303 – C10 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2026, and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 for 1 day. C) Stuart Green, Warminster; from its junction with Ferris Mead for its entire length.
D) Ferris Mead (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Stuart Mead to its property known as No.09 Ferris Mead to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway patching and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 28 January 2026, and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 1 day. E) Ham Green, Holt; from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Gaston.
F) Gaston, Holt; from its junction with Ham Green to its junction with The Star.
G) The Star, Holt; from its junction with Gaston to its junction with Station Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works. Alternative route via Station Road – B3107 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026, and the closure will be required weekdays only between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 04 February 2026. H) Emms Lane (Part), Bratton; from its junction with B3098 to its property known as No.04 Emms Lane to enable Wessex Water to carry out works and associated works. Alternative route via Emms Lane (unaffected length) – Tyning Lane – B3098 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 January 2026, and the closure will be required for 3 days. I) Pool Green (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Leafield Industrial Estate to its property known as No.03 Pool Green to enable Openreach to carry out works and associated works. Alternative route via Pool Green – Leafield Way – Methuen Park – Park Lane – B3353 – Valley Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 January 2026, and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023.

J) B3353 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Monks Lane to its property known as Claremont Residential Home to enable Openreach to carry out civils works and other associated works. Alternative route via B3353 (unaffected length) – A4 – B3109 – A365 – B3353 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 January 2026, and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 1 night. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2026, and the closure will be required between the hours of 18:00 and 23:59 for 2 days. This Order will come into operation on 05 January 2026 at 09:00 until 18:00 and the closure will then be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 07 January 2026. M) A361 Southbound Carriageway (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Longfield Road to its junction with Bradley Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out gyratory scheme and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 05 January 2026, and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 14 January 2026. This Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026 and the closure will be required until 08 April 2026. It is anticipated that the work will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order for A and B will have a maximum duration of 18 months. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.59) 2025 (Ref TTRO 10930)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The Order which previously came into operation on 06 October 2025 will now recommence on 05 January 2026. It is required to enable carriageway patching, surface dressing and associated maintenance works. The Order has maximum duration period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be displayed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

The closures are anticipated to take place between 05 January 2026 and 26 March 2026.

  1. UC 896801 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with C155 to its junction with UC 896903.
  2. Pitman Avenue, Trowbridge; from its junction with A361 for its entire length.
  3. Allen Road, Trowbridge; from its junction with A361 to its junction with Pitman Avenue.
  4. Rock Road, Trowbridge; from its junction with A361 to its junction with Pitman Avenue.
  5. B3095 (Part), Longbridge Deverill, Brixton Deverill and Kingston Deverill; from its junction with A350 to its junction with C125.

  1. via UC 896903 – C163 – C155.
    2/3/4. via A361.
  2. Light vehicles: via B3095 (unaffected length) – A303 – B3089 – A350.
