(HIGH STREET, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (High Street, Galashiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:00 on 5 January 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 16 January 2026. The Order is required for SGN gas & water connections. When the Order comes into effect in Galashiels:
(a) no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads:
(i) High Street – from pedestrian crossing opposite Trinity Church to exit of High Street Car Park. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the A7, Braw Lads Brae, Currie Road, Ladhope Vale and Bridge Place to the point of closure, north westbound traffic is via Bank Street, Bank Street Brae, Livingstone Place, Scott Street, Gala Park, Kirk Brae and Hall Street; and
(ii) Overhaugh Street – from junction with Bank Close to junction with the High Street. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Overhaugh Street and Bank Close.
(b) no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on Windyknowe Road – from junction with Mossilee Road to Manse Lane and will only be in effect when appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.
(c) The One Way Order on Bridge Street and Sime Place will be rescinded for the duration of the above closure to allow access and egress. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.

(B6352 LOCHTOWER)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (B6352 Lochtower) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 6 January 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 7 January 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for surfacing and patching works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6352 from Lochtower to Yetholm, Kelso.
The alternative route for south eastbound traffic is via the B6352, B6436, B6401 and

(BRUNTON PARK, BOWDEN)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Brunton Park, Bowden) (Temporary Traffic
Regulation) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 7 January 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 21:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Brunton Park, Bowden as detailed below: (i) no right turn from the B6398 into Brunton Park; and (ii) no left turn from Brunton Park onto the B6398.
The alternative route for westbound traffic is via the B6398, D74/4 (Feuars Park/ Commonside junction) and the B6398.
