Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

B2064 Beachborough Road, Folkestone, CT19 4AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2064 Beachborough Road, Folkestone, on or after 26th January 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 31, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2064 Beachborough Road, B2064 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road and vice versa.

For access to Station Road the alternative route for any through traffic is via B2064 Beachborough Road, B2064 Cheriton Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



B2068 Stone Street, Monks Horton (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on part of B2068 Stone Street, Monks Horton, on or after 26th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

B2068 Stone Street will have a mandatory 30MPH speed limit imposed between the junctions of Blind House Lane and Stone Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.



Ashford Road, Ivychurch, TN29 0AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashford Road, Ivychurch, on or after 26th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Tower House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashford Road, Ivychurch Road, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Mill Road, Hythe, CT21 5NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway improvements to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Road, Hythe, on or after 26th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Station Road and Bell Inn Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Station Road, A259 East Street, A259 Seabrook Road, Mill Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Orgarswick Avenue, Dymchurch, TN29 0NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Orgarswick Avenue, Dymchurch, on or after 14th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A259 High Street, Mill Road, Eastbridge Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Park Road, Folkestone, CT20 3PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow vegetation cutting to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Road, Folkestone, on or after 13th January 2026 for up to 4 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Broomfield Road and Dunnett Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 13:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2064 Cheriton Road, St Georges Road, Geraldine Road, Dunnett Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Seabourne Way, Dymchurch, TN29 0PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Seabourne Way, Dymchurch, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 36, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



The Churchlands, New Romney, TN28 8TZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Churchlands, New Romney, on or after 29th January 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 22, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Churchlands, Marsh Crescent, Wiles Avenue, Church Lane, Church Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Uden Road, Dymchurch, TN29 0UE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uden Road, Dymchurch, on or after 14th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside number 10 to outside number 4, between the hours of 09:30 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Uden Road, Beverley Gardens, Beach Road, Redoubt Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Whatsole Street, Elmsted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whatsole Street, Elmsted, on or after 26th January 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Kingsmill Down Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whatsole Street, From Whatsole Junction With Elchin Hill To Dean Bottom, Dean Bottom, Dean Hill, Thorn Lane, B2068 Stone Street, Lymbridge Green, Big Pett and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Wills Lane, Newchurch, TN29 0DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wills Lane, Newchurch, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Wills Farm Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Newchurch Lane, From Newchurch To Junction With Newchurch Road, Newchurch Road, Wills Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
