What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(WARD STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Ward Street from its junction with Usworth Close to outside property 49.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 5th January 2026 until 23rd January 2026.
The diversion route is: Northolt Drive, Coningsby Drive, Ettingshall Road, George Street, and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate installation of a foul water & sewer connection under a s.50 licence by Erris Builders Ltd.
