UPTON CROSS PROJECT, POOLE – HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHERE, WHAT, AND WHEN:
A350 Upton Country Park slip road from its junction with the A350 to the entrance to Upton Country Park. Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time. Anticipated dates: Monday 12th January to Sunday 5th April 2026
A350 westbound inside lane closed overnight for approximately 100m at the Upton Country Park slip road exit for safety reasons. Anticipated dates: Monday 12th January to Sunday 5th April 2026
WHY: Highway improvement works by Dorset Council
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained
DIVERSION: Via Upton Bypass, Blandford Road North, Poole Road

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
