What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
Highcraig Avenue, Johnstone
Craigview Avenue, Johnstone
Dundonald Avenue, Johnstone

The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles) to wait or load on the following length of road in the town of Johnstone in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire: Highcraig Avenue, Johnstone – From Craigview Avenue to 5 Highcraig Avenue/ 6 Highcraig Avenue.

Craigview Avenue, Johnstone – From Highcraig Avenue to Craigbog Avenue.

Dundonald Avenue, Johnstone – From Highcraig Avenue to 96 Dundonald Avenue. From Highcraig Avenue to 84 Dundonald Avenue.

Reason for Restriction: Drainage Improvement Works

Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area. Emergency access will be maintained. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.

Alternative Routes: Craigview Avenue, Craigenfeoch Avenue, Greenend Avenue, Duncraig Crescent, Dundonald Avenue, Craigbog Avenue and vice versa.

This notice will be in force from Wednesday 07th January 2026 to Sunday 07th March 2027.

This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016..
