PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CANNOCK ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Cannock Road in both directions between its junctions with Cross Street North and Stafford Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 22:00 on 4 January 2026 until 05:00 on 5 January 2026.
The diversion route is: Stafford Street, Stafford Road, M54, Cannock Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a tactile inspection of the railway bridge by Network Rail.
