Markland Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MARKLAND LANE, CLOWNE
WHEN: 06 January 2026 (09:30 to 15:30).
WHERE: Markland Lane, Clowne from its jct. with Hillin Hill Road for a distance of 1.5 km in a southerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate telegraph pole testing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hollin Hill Road, A616 Sheffield Road, Hazelmere Road, Wood Lane, The Green, Main Road, Markland Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
