Bridge Street - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BRIDGE STREET, BELPER
WHEN: 19 January to 07 February 2026 (between 19:00 to 05:00 each working day). Road clear at all other times.
WHERE: Bridge Street, Belper, for 268m north from its Jct. with A609.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Diversion - A6, A517, B5023, A6 and vice versa.
HGV Diversion - A6, A38, A610, A6 and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
