Matlock Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MATLOCK ROAD, AMBERGATE
WHEN: 05 January to 24 January 2026 (Night works only 19:00 to 05:00, highway clear at all other times)
WHERE: Matlock Road, Ambergate 950m north of its Jct. with A610 Riversdale for approx. 2500m.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Light Traffic Diversion - A6 , A517 , B5023 , B5036, A5012, A6 (and vice versa). HGV Diversion - A6 , A38 ,A52, A515, A5012, A6 (and vice versa).
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
