Bennetts Lane & Chapel Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BENNETTS LANE & CHAPEL LANE, CRICH
WHEN: 19 January to 23 January 2026 (between 08:00 to 16:00 each day).
WHERE: Bennetts Lane & Chapel Lane, Crich, approx. 125m south of its Jct. with The Common for 80m.
REASON: To facilitate 3x pole replacements and LV underground jointing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bennetts Lane, The Common, Chapel Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
